Cloud Resume Challenge | Feb 2022

Built static website using many AWS services. S3 buckets, IAM roles/policies, Lambda function, DynamoDB table, API Gateway, Cloudfront Distribution, Route53 configuration, ACM Certificate setup, Terraform Infrastructure as Code (IaC) used for all pieces. CI/CD triggered when any code change is pushed to Main branch, using GitHub Actions to test and deploy the Terraform AWS infrastructure first, then website HTML/CSS, then test URL for liveliness.

DevOps Engineer | REPAY  (May 2022 - Current)

- SRE, DevOps, Kubernetes, kubectl, k9s, Jenkins, yaml, kustomize, Docker, AWS

- Supporting several dev teams with AWS knowledge, CI/CD methods, cloud infrastructure maintenance and monitoring.

- Immersed in yaml, Terraform, bash scripts, and AWS cloud services.


Systems Analyst | Silicon Valley Bank  (Jun 2021 - Dec 2021)

- Consulted and lead initiative to improve a critical batch application, reducing nightly processing time by over 75%.

- Partnered with the business and developers to build out vendor and internally based software systems.

- Troubleshot issues in data and application layers, find root cause and plan team to fix and deploy efficiently


Technical Program Manager | Choice Hotels Intl  (Feb 2020 - Feb 2021)

- Consulted on large initiative onboarding new partner vendors driving loyalty program features and improved member value.

- Requirements gathering and development backlog management. Maintained and updated development requests.

- Collaborated closely with Product Manager, guiding small enhancements and main support development teams. Daily use of Jira, dashboards, leadership reporting tools and frameworks.


Sr Application Analyst | Petsmart  (Mar 2019 - Feb 2020)

- Primary Analyst on project implementing automated service appointment reminder system, reducing labor cost and increasing revenue over $3MM annually.

- One of the lead Application Analysts responsible for troubleshooting issues with new, custom built Salesforce-based service tracking system, used by over 1,600 global stores. Worked closely with engineers and business to drive and report on success metrics throughout.

- Moved into Software Engineer role when main project completed. Recognized by leadership as strong technical contributor and problem solver.


Technical Analyst | Choice Hotels Intl  (Mar 2017 - Mar 2019)

- Monitored, analyzed data analytics for resolving day-to-day technical problems using multiple toolsets like Kibana, Grafana, and other log analysis tools. Manually gathered data from raw Apache webserver and other Linux system logs.

- Supported developer team directly by prioritizing incoming work requests and break-fix work. Triaged by preparing the issues and setting up what needs to be completed by developers. Embedded within scrum development team as primary contact and development intake from all organizational aspects.


Enterprise Application Support Engineer | Choice Hotels Intl  (Nov 2014 - Mar 2017)

- Troubleshoot first contact for most of the applications in the company ecosystem. Escalate findings to development team with recommendations for resolution approach.

- Supported hundreds of systems, over 40 applications, troubleshooting performance and data issues.

- Helped build new support team with interviewing and assessing technical aptitude. Trained and mentored team members in Linux, database, API, and ticketing systems.
